Who is Jaafar Jackson? Meet the Actor and Star of 'Michael'

Jaafar Jackson is a rising singer, actor, and performer hailing from Los Angeles, California as the youngest sibling of eight children. He is no stranger to the performing arts, given that he’s the son of legendary songwriter, singer, and producer Jermaine Jackson, and nephew to the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. In his youth, the Michael actor had aspirations of being a professional golfer, but having been surrounded by entertainers, it was only natural that he follow in his family’s footsteps.

Given the powerful musical influences that surrounded his childhood, it’s no surprise that he developed an extraordinary taste for music, showcasing selections such as Nat King Cole and Marvin Gaye. Since he was 12, Jackson has been well-versed in piano and has gained a wealth of knowledge of music and artistry.

Last Thursday, Lionsgate released the teaser for Michael, which will be Jackson’s feature film debut. On his Instagram, he shared a black and white image of himself rehearsing, sharing that he was „humbled and honored“ to bring his uncle’s story to life.
