Meet Adéla, The Internet's Favorite New Rising Artist

After a monumental few years training her vocal skills, polishing up her choreography, and honing in on her identity as an artist, Adéla Jurgova has emerged as the next It pop girl to keep your eyes on. 

To be sure, her race towards stardom was no overnight phenomenon—and the furthest thing possible from a private journey. At just 15, the Slovakian artist auditioned for the English National Ballet School, and just a few years later, captured the eyes—and hearts—of millions as she auditioned for a coveted spot in Hybe and Geffen’s global girl group, now known as Katseye. Though she was among the first few young hopefuls eliminated on Popstar Academy: Katseye—Netflix’s documentary reality show of the long, brutal audition and training process—Adéla didn’t back down from her desire to be a star. Instead, she took the opportunity for what it was—a chance to sharpen her skills, foster lifelong friendships, and begin to make a name for herself online. 

With „Homewrecker“ and „Superscar,“ her first singles, she stepped onto the scene, letting her bold sonic concepts and unapologetic artistic passion lead the way. Just months later, she dropped The Provacateur, her first album, which cemented her status as a generational pop girl in the making. Adéla has cited stars like Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande as early inspirations—and after another album or two, she may be well on her way to matching her idols hit for hit. 

“They’re the reason why I know pop stars exist and were my first introduction that I can sing, dance, and be on a show for a living. I literally learned English by watching their interviews,” Jergova told Cosmopolitan earlier in 2025.
