Since the very beginning of her social media journey, Morgan Riddle has been the ultimate It girl. Back in college, she started making lifestyle content for Instagram and TikTok, where her voice resonated with viewers online.

After she began dating American tennis star Taylor Fritz, Riddle’s influence has soared to new heights. But it wasn’t behind-the-scenes tournament videos or super-sweet couples moments that truly defined her meteoric rise—though fans far and wide appreciate that content too. It was her unique, insightful takes on the intersection between athletics and fashion that drew viewers in—so much so that The New York Times dubbed her ‚the most famous woman in men’s tennis.‘

Fittingly, at New York Fashion Week, one fashion icon meets another. This season, legendary American designer Michael Kors celebrates the 45th anniversary of his eponymous label, and one of the many stars supporting the occasion is Riddle, clad in one of the brand’s striking, sophisticated designs.

Between serving looks in the stands at tennis matches, sharing her recent on-the-go looks on TikTok, or dishing details on her favorite beauty finds, Riddle is no stranger to a top-tier style moment. This season, she brought her signature flair to New York Fashion Week for the monumental show. Below, see how the star gets ready for the event.

L’OFFICIEL: How did you decide on your look for the show? Were there any styles/pieces that you knew you really wanted to wear?
MORGAN RIDDLE: I always start with the vibe of the city + the show. For this one, my stylist and I had seen this dress worn on the runway, and they intentionally didn’t button the sleeves at the bottom, which gave a really fun shape to the dress. I love something that reads classic from far away but still has a little edge up close.
L’O: How does your personal style fit into the world of Michael Kors’ aesthetics and sartorial codes?
MR: Michael Kors is the blueprint for that confident, urban, American glamour—clean lines, great tailoring, pieces that move with you. My style is similar in the sense that I want to look put-together but not over the top.
L’O: Do you have any go-to Michael Kors pieces that are wardrobe staples?
MR: I love their trench coats.
L’O: What’s your philosophy when it comes to style? Is there a specific aesthetic or mindset that guides your outfits?
MR: Balance. If it’s ultra-tailored, I’ll make it a little relaxed through hair and makeup. If it’s feminine, I’ll toughen it up. And I’m always thinking about silhouette first, trends second.

L’O: What’s your favorite part of getting ready to attend runway shows? Is there something about the process that makes it different or special from other events you attend?

MR: The build-up feels like a little ritual, especially during fashion week when everything is chaos. A runway show is different because it’s not just “getting dressed,” it’s an hours-long process to step into a designer’s world for just a few minutes. Also, the outfit has to survive weather, running around, photos, sitting, standing, and being perceived/photographed from every angle.

L’O: What’s your favorite step in your get-ready-with-me routine?
MR: The moment right after skincare when I put on my under-eye patches. I’m still not sure if they even do anything, but I pop them in my mini fridge at my hotel whenever I arrive somewhere so they are ice cold. It feels really refreshing and wakes me up before GLAM.
L’O: Whether you’re courtside at a tennis match or front row at a runway show, what’s a must-have you keep in your bag at all times?
MR: Hydrocolloid patches because I’m nothing if not practical! I always am in heels, and I put them on preemptively to make sure I avoid blisters year-round.
L’O: Are there any particular aesthetics or trends you’re loving (or hating) at the moment? What are you looking forward to seeing from the fashion world in the upcoming seasons?
MR: I’m loving anything that feels sharp and elevated without being fussy, like clean tailoring, long coats, and strong accessories. I’m excited for more refined and grown-up statement pieces that feel powerful, not costume-y.
L’O: Every It girl has a signature. What’s yours—the non-negotiable detail, habit, or mindset that always feels unmistakably you?
MR: Staying in my own lane. I always strive to dress for the vibe I want, not what is necessarily „the best,“ and I never force a trend that doesn’t feel like me.
L’O: Finally, where’s your go-to unwind spot after a hectic fashion week—spa, salon, coffee shop, bakery, or somewhere else?
MR: A hotel bed, Uber Eats, and a horror movie. Phone on DND. If we’re being aspirational, a spa would be great, but most of the day I’m just thinking about the moment I can open Netflix.
