Jil Sander’s Fall/Winter 2026 show in Milan proved that minimalism doesn’t have to feel cold or strict. The collection opened with a navy suit featuring a long, clean-cut blazer layered over a simple white button-down. It looked polished, but not overly perfect—one side of the collar slightly undone. That small detail set the tone for the entire show: classic pieces with subtle changes.
Creative director Simone Bellotti focused on sharp tailoring and soft structure. Double-breasted coats were buttoned higher on the chest, giving them a strong, upright shape. Skirts made from suiting fabric were cut with side slits, adding movement and a touch of ease. Leather coats in soft, neutral tones felt smooth and understated.
Most of the collection stayed within Jil Sander’s signature color palette—black, brown, grey, and navy. But small pops of color stood out. A bright cobalt sock peeked out from under tailored trousers. A pale lilac top showed beneath a sandy coat. A mint green bag added a gentle contrast. These touches felt thoughtful rather than loud.
The overall feeling was calm, controlled, and confident. Nothing screamed for attention. Instead, the power came from clean lines, strong silhouettes, and careful styling.
