Beauty may be subjective, but science is doing its best to quantify it.
Enter the Golden Ratio theory. Often referred to as the “divine proportion,” the concept dates back to Ancient Greece and was once used to define ideal beauty in art and architecture. Today, it’s being applied to Hollywood—specifically, to determine which celebrities are considered the most beautiful by mathematical standards. According to a study by renowned cosmetic surgeon Dr. Julian De Silva, Bella Hadid holds the crown as the most beautiful woman in the world. De Silva created his top 10 list using the Golden Ratio, which analyzes facial proportions to calculate symmetry and balance.
By examining the size and placement of features like the eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, and jaw, De Silva developed a formula to measure facial harmony. After analyzing a wide range of data, it was noneother than supermodel Bella Hadid who came out on top with a symmetry score of 94.35%. This near-perfect proportions place her at the top of the list, earning her the title of the most mathematically beautiful woman in the world.
While beauty is still largely subjective, studies like this offer insight into how physical appearance may influence perception and, in some cases, success. The link between attractiveness and cultural influence remains a topic of ongoing fascination.
Also included on De Silva’s list are global icons like Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, and Taylor Swift—women who embody beauty, talent, and star power. Check out which celebrities made the top ten list below.
