Charli XCX is officially off the market. The pop powerhouse has married George Daniel, drummer and producer for The 1975, after three years together.
Over the weekend, a video began circulating on social media showing the newlyweds posing with their families after the ceremony. Charli, 32, wore a stunning off-the-shoulder white gown with her hair down and a bouquet of white flowers in hand. George, 35, kept things classic in a sleek black suit: a seemingly traditional wedding for the not-so-traditional pair.
The wedding was first reported to have taken place in Sicily—a spot that holds sentimental value for the couple. “Charli and George fell in love with Sicily and knew they wanted to get married there,” a source told The Sun. “It’s incredibly secluded and romantic. There will be no expense spared. It’s costing tens of thousands of pounds and visually it will be mesmerizing.” However, with more details emerging, it appears the two kept the wedding close to home in London. (Just as romantic as Sicily)!
While fans wait for official photos and more details to drop, it’s safe to say the ceremony was nothing short of beautiful—and the afterparty? Probably as wild as you’d expect, as I’m sure they both took a turn on the DJ stand.
The couple first met while working on Charli’s 2022 album Crash, where Daniel contributed to the production. Sparks flew soon after, and by the end of the year, their relationship had gone public. Since then, they’ve remained a refreshingly low-key duo in the music world, occasionally sharing glimpses of their life online.
Now, they’re stepping into a brand-new era—this time, as newlyweds.
