Months after the news of Chris Martin’s split from Dakota Johnson, the Internet is abuzz after rumors began swirling that Coldplay frontman recently stepped out on a date with Sophie Turner—who was previously married to Joe Jonas and most recently linked to Peregrine Pearson.

Though little is known about Martin’s seemingly brief relationship with the British events producer, news of their breakup came shortly after Coldplay’s debut album came out in 2000.
Gwyneth Paltrow: 2003-2014
In November 2002, the Coldplay singer and the actress-business mogul reportedly met backstage at one of the band’s concerts. Just a year later, the pair were already hinting at tying the knot in interviews, and a month later, in December 2003, Paltrow and Martin announced that they were expecting their first child—Apple Martin—together.
Days later after the pregnancy became public, news broke that the couple had eloped, and were married, as of at least December 2003.
In 2006, they welcomed their son, Moses Martin.
Speaking about his marriage for the first time publicly, Martin told CBS News in 2011 that marrying Paltrow „was like winning the lottery.“

Much to their fans‘ dismay, rumors of a split started in June 2025.

After several more insiders began speaking out, explaining that Johnson and Martin seemed to be looking for different things out of the relationship, the public was forced to finally accept the breakup.
Johnson and Martin were first spotted together at Sushi Park—the site of many a famous first date—in Los Angeles, looking cozy together as they enjoyed a low-key dinner in October 2017. Just a month later, Johnson was seen at a Coldplay concert, providing the relationship rumor mill with plenty of fodder. A source told Us Weekly that the two have been “going out quite a few times” in London, sparking speculation that things have officially crossed into dating territory. The insider also noted that the two actually met a few years back, but timing wasn’t aligned. Now, with both Martin and Turner newly single, they’re reportedly “trying it out” — and apparently, they have a lot more in common than people may assume. While neither has commented publicly, this potential romance could be the next major celebrity storyline everyone’s watching.
