First introduced in 1978 by Fiamma Ferragamo, daughter of Salvatore, the Vara shoe has long stood as a symbol of femininity—balancing elegance, comfort, and purpose into one shoe. Designed to meet the needs of women navigating independent lives with an equally important focus on style, the Vara was both refined and practical.
Now, nearly five decades later, Ferragamo reimagines this icon with a new campaign titled An Icon Across Generations. The project celebrates the Vara Bow’s enduring spirit through a cast of women whose individuality reflects the shoe’s versatility.
The campaign stars model Bianca Balti, celebrated for her assertive demeanor and international career; Paloma Elsesser, a runway icon and advocate for inclusivity; Hyeri Lee, South Korean pop star and actress, who channels the playful side of Vara; and Fiamma Paternò Castello di San Giuliano, the great-granddaughter of the original designer, who bridges Ferragamo’s legacy with a forward-looking vision.
Together, these women represent the Vara’s evolving narrative—one that captures the rhythm of the moment while honoring the craftsmanship and creativity at Ferragamo’s core. Whether in quilted leather or glossy patent, the Vara Bow remains a testament to individuality and timeless sophistication, resonating with women across generations and lifestyles.
