Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen Are Expecting Their First Child

Between Hailee Steinfeld’s role in one of the year’s biggest films, Sinners, and Josh Allen’s major season as one of the NFL’s top-performing quarterbacks, 2025 has been a busy year for the couple. But their respective career achievements were topped by a huge personal announcement on Dec. 12, 2025—the newlyweds are expecting their first child.

Steinfeld first announced the pregnancy as any Gen-Z parent to be would—on her Substack, of course. She and Allen subsequently shared a joint post on Instagram, further spreading the news. The post was a short, but sweet video of the couple standing in the snow, kissing and celebrating Steinfeld’s new baby bump. Though the actress is often known for her top-tier style moments, she kept her pregnancy announcement look simple with an all-black ensemble—punctuated by a black fleece with the word „mother“ emblazoned across it. 

The pregnancy marks a new step in the couple’s journey together. Steinfeld and Allen married earlier this year in an intimate ceremony in California, but the pair have been together since early 2023. At the beginning of their relationship, the two were spotted in and around New York City while on romantic dates.

Like many couples in the spotlight, Steinfeld and Allen have preferred to keep many parts of their relationship lowkey, but over the years, they’ve shared insights into their romance and their life together. 

„I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it’s the greatest thing in the world,“ Steinfeld said in an interview with Bustle earlier this year. „Life makes sense. Everything makes sense. I feel like I am stepping into the version that I’ve always dreamed of being, having so much to do with being with him.“

The couple has not announced the due date, gender, or name of the baby yet.
