For its latest menswear collection, the maison went all in on searing sensuality and silhouettes synonymous with Saint Laurent.
Inspired by James Baldwin’s classic novel, Giovanni’s Room, the collection by Anthony Vaccarello begins a dialogue on masculine sexuality, self-expression, and personal transformation. Seen in half-buttoned tops, plunging necklines, sheer fabrics, and artfully mussed textures, the line explores the act of dressing in itself, from start to finish.
Narrow silhouettes ruled the runway, to be sure. Slimly tailored trousers, tight-fitting boots that venture up past the knee, and belted outerwear illustrated a keen curiosity in sartorial intimacy. Meanwhile, unconventional styles like tucked-in ties, peekaboo shirt sleeves, and daintily patterned neckscarves offered new takes on personal expression, nodding towards the collection’s interest in the liminal space between outer strength and inner vulnerability.
As per usual, the front row was jam-packed with stars, with VIP guests and celebrity attendees including Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kate Moss, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Austin Butler, Suki Waterhouse, Connor Storrie, François Arnaud, Christopher Briney, Ines Rau, Gabriette, Lee Chae-min, Charlie Hunnam, and Rami Malek, among others.
