Over the course of the past week, Steph Hui has been a veritable style chameleon, shifting between colors, aesthetics, and silhouettes as she flitted from show to show. But for Miu Miu, she settled on an audacious charcoal gray blazer and skirt, accented by a sleek handbag and polished kitten heels. Her iconic bob—which, in Paris, seems right at home—appeared perfectly styled, and her makeup, effortlessly glowy. All in all? Sophisticated, spirited, and playfully polished—the ultimate Miu Miu girl.
On social media, Hui is known for ultra-chic style moments, beauty expertise, and her utterly magnetic personality, and as she popped up across the City of Lights during Paris Fashion Week, it became clear to pedestrians passing by, fellow front row guests, and fashion houses alike that Hui is truly passionate about her work.
Whether she’s in slinky vintage-inspired minidresses, delicate romantic blouses, or ultra-cool boho-chic styles, Hui is authentically exploring her personal style—uninhibited by fleeting trends, and undeterred by bold looks. In her journey through the beauty and makeup worlds, her expertise, artistry, and drive are equally as palpable, both on and off the small screen.
Ahead of Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 2026 show, L’OFFICIEL caught up with Steph Hui, who talked her current beauty must-haves, go-to spots in Paris, and personal style philosophies.
L’OFFICIEL: How did you decide on your outfit for the show? Were there any styles/pieces that you knew you really wanted to wear?
Steph Hui: My look is from the Fall/Winter 2025 collection, and the moment I saw it, I knew I had to wear it someday, somehow, somewhere. It was one of my favorite looks of the entire collection. I love playing with proportions and layering, so the structured shoulders and the mix of textures and colors—especially the blue and grey—really spoke to me.
L’O: How does your personal style fit into the world of Miu Miu’s aesthetics and sartorial codes?
SH: My personal style is fun, bold, and never afraid to play. There’s always a sense of freedom and risk-taking—if something doesn’t work, I’ll still find a way to make it work. I love thinking outside of the box and finding new ways to style things. In that sense, I really connect with Miu Miu’s world because I also see fashion as my sandbox.
L’O: What’s your favorite part of getting ready to attend runway shows?
SH: My favorite part is seeing a look come together through collaboration—working with the brand and my team to use hair and makeup to bring the outfit to life. It’s so satisfying to see all the elements come together. I also love seeing the photographers capture the look and the excitement from people at the show or online who appreciate the final result.
L’O: Have you had any memorable celebrity run-ins at shows you’ve attended in the past? Is there anyone you’re looking forward to meeting this season?
SH: I once saw Gunna at a show, but honestly, I tend to mind my own business. I’m usually so focused that I don’t even realize which celebrities were there until after the show.
L’O: Do you have any specific beauty/skincare products that are must-haves in your beauty routine right now?
SH: Yes! My must-haves right now are the Natasha Denona Hy-Glam Foundation, Anastasia Beverly Hills Freezing Brow Gel, ONE/SIZE On ‘Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray, Ole Henriksen Peptide Lip Treatment, Benefit Benetint, Huda Beauty Lip Contour Stain, and the Fenty Body Lava. All of these products are super long-lasting and require minimal touchups, which is perfect for long fashion days.
L’O: Are there any major beauty moments/trends you’ve seen during fashion week that stood out to you?
SH: In terms of beauty, I’ve been seeing a lot of minimal skin—minimal contour and blush, but with a statement lip and clean, long lashes. Fashion-wise, I’ve noticed so much play with texture—especially innovative takes on denim. I’ve seen shiny latex finishes on denim, feathery cutout leather pants, and even clothing with wiring that allows for customization. It’s so inspiring and exciting to see!
L’O: What’s one thing you absolutely need to bring in your bag for fashion shows? Did you learn this the hard way, or did you get advice from a runway veteran?
SH: I always carry oil blotting sheets, lip liner, lip gloss, Q-tips, Listerine strips, and a fragrance for touch-ups. I’m currently loving the new Miu Miu fragrance, Miutine. These are just essentials I’ve learned to keep with me over time.
L’O: Do you have any favorite pieces from Miu Miu that are wardrobe staples?
SH: I’d say a Miu Miu leather or suede jacket is perfect for a night out or any time I need to look put-together. When I’m traveling or running errands, I love wearing the Miu Miu fleece. For fall weather, I’m into their striped polo long sleeves—great for layering. And of course, the New Balance x Miu Miu sneakers—they’re comfortable yet super chic.
L’O: What’s your philosophy when it comes to style? Is there a specific aesthetic or mindset that guides your outfits?
SH: Layering is key for me. I usually start with a single color that inspires the rest of the outfit. If I’m drawn to blue that day, I’ll build around that—mixing patterns, textures, and tones that complement it. I also dress based on mood: if I’m feeling relaxed, I’ll go for something oversized or baggy; if I want to feel more feminine, I’ll choose something fitted or structured.
L’O: Are there any particular aesthetics or trends you’re loving (or hating) at the moment? What are you looking forward to seeing from the fashion world in the upcoming seasons?
SH: Some aesthetics I’m loving are bold color, print, and pattern-on-pattern layering—especially when it involves creative cutouts like the ones I’ve been seeing on the runway. I love when fashion is visually vibrant and alive, so I don’t gravitate towards anything that lacks color. For Spring/Summer 2026, I’m excited about the mix of baggy long sleeves with micro-shorts—that blend of seasonal elements feels really fresh. I’m also really looking forward to seeing how new creative directors interpret their visions for future collections for Fall/Winter 2026!
L’O: Do you have any go-to spots in Paris that you’re excited to visit while you’re here?
SH: Definitely Red Katz when I miss home and am craving some good Chinese food, and L’Avenue for their cheesecake. I also love just walking around Place Vendôme—it feels so grand yet peaceful.
L’O: What’s your favorite way to unwind after attending shows and fashion events? Are you at all the PFW parties, or are you more in the pajamas and skincare at 10 p.m. camp?
SH: Definitely in the pajamas-and-skincare camp. My ideal night after a show is having a nice dinner with close friends, then heading back to my hotel, doing my skincare, and enjoying a cup of tea in bed. I like to unwind and clear my mind so I’m refreshed and ready for the next day.
