EXO Returns with New Music Video for “I’m Home”

EXO is officially back—at least in part—and fans are already celebrating the group’s long-awaited return. At their planned fan meeting on December 13 and 14 at Inspire Arena in Incheon, the group surprised attendees with the debut of their first music video since 2023: “I’m Home,” a single that marks a new chapter for one of K-pop’s most influential acts. The release arrives as anticipation builds for EXO’s eighth full-length studio album, slated for early 2026.

SM Entertainment first teased the comeback through EXO’s social channels, confirming participation from six members: Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, and Lay. The return of Lay—who recently promoted his solo single “easy”—had been heavily hinted at in a prior interview, where he encouraged fans to “keep an eye on December” and teased an offline event in the EXO-VERSE. For many, “I’m Home” symbolizes not just a comeback, but a reunion years in the making.

Notably absent from official materials are Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, collectively known as EXO-CBX. The trio has been pursuing individual projects amid ongoing contract disputes with SM Entertainment; Baekhyun dropped Essence of Reverie, Chen released the EP Arcadia, and Xiumin unveiled his single “Overdrop.” Although EXO-CBX ultimately lost their lawsuit over alleged unfair contracts and earnings transparency, they remain active as soloists under SM—just not included in this comeback rollout.

With “I’m Home” now out and a new album on the horizon, the excitement is palpable. As EXO reconvenes—partially but powerfully—the group appears poised for a fresh era, leaving fans hopeful for more announcements, concepts, and maybe even a tour as 2026 approaches.
