Channelling ’90s minimalism and reorienting it into a contemporary look, West Side Story actor Rachel Zegler stepped out in a sultry look while strolling around the Lower East Side on her way to the NYC Wicked: For Good premiere.
Taking an opportunity to embrace a warm day in New York’s on-and-off weather cycle, Zegler donned a cropped bra top, complemented by sheer panelling and delicate detailing. The star wore a sleek black jacket atop the lingerie-inspired look, but as any layering expert knows, a good coat should never sacrifice form for function.
Aside from the breezy top, Zegler paired her night-out look with a pair of baggy jeans that kept the sultry aesthetic going with flowy sheer panelling components. From head to toe—with the exception of her ultra-chic Dune London handbag—the star wore Nensi Dojaka.
In the beauty department, Zegler opted for classic glowy makeup, punctuated by a glossy rusty-red lip.
Between serving up serious style moments and establishing her powerful presence onstage at London’s West End, Zegler is currently in the midst of several new projects. Zegler’s upcoming movies include the highly anticipated film, She Gets It From Me. In the comedy-drama, Zegler stars opposite Marisa Tomei, and the pair play a mother and daughter who set out on a chaotic journey to rekindle their connection. The actor returns to the screen after a lengthy stint on the stage performing live.
Most recently, the 24-year-old starred as the titular character in the widely popular West End production of Evita. Beyond the acclaim she received for her performance, Zegler also reportedly met her current boyfriend, professional dancer Nathan Louis-Fernand, on the set of rehearsals. Previously, she made her Broadway debut as Juliet in Romeo + Juliet—another buzzy role.
